It was Labor Day when an impromptu pool party erupted… WooHoo! All had a ball. This was the first summer the two little ones from each family really got to enjoy swimming independently.

Mac was VERY excited to see the school bus coming. He even shouted “k’out Mama” to tell Debbie to look out… the bus was coming! When it stopped at our driveway, he couldn’t believe his good luck! Then ‘Boos’ got on and waved goodbye, blew a kiss and was gone. He was heart-sick He couldn’t believe he was all alone. Very sweet, but very sad.

Becca was so excited to go to school she went outside 30 minutes early to wait for the bus. We went out with her a little while later and got a few photos. Mac was so excited when the bus came, and QUITE disappointed when it left with his big sister on it. As you can see, Becca was excited to go to school with the big kids.
A bitter-sweet end of an era – our little girl now in Kindergarten. She blew a kiss and was on her way with a smile. May all your school days be so new and exciting Becca.

If you look down a couple posts, you’ll notice the same pose as George’s first day of school. This is an 8-year tradition now. Small, but fun!

Continuing in the tradition of getting a picture on the front steps – every first day of school since first grade, George was forced to endure Dad’s coaxing and kidding around yet again this year. This is by far the most ‘too cool for school’ pose he’s managed yet. Hopefully he’ll appreciate them when he’s a little older. These 8 years have flown by!
